  All members who first joined the Rossmoor Tennis Club either last year in 2024 and /or in 2025 this year are cordially invited to an informal gathering at the Stanley Dollar Clubhouse patio on Thursday, October 16th.  Newcomers may bring a guest to enjoy the festivities. RTC Board members will welcome you and information about your tennis club will be shared. Heavy appetizers and drinks (wine, beer, and non-alcoholic soft drinks) will be provided.

• RTC vs. The Villages (Away)

  A great tournament, home and away, with mens doubles and women's doubles.  Be a part of a. great tradition.

  Rossmoor is heading to the Villages for our semi-annual home and away matches. These matches have been held for over ten years. The Villages have always been great hosts and it's out time again to return the favor.

  What: The format is 4 women's doubles teams, 4 men's doubles teams, and 4 mixed doubles teams. Thus, we need 12 men and 12 women to represent Rossmoor. Each team will play 2 sets. Each set win counts 1 point toward the total team score, and the game wins within each set are tracked for total game win count in case of a tie.

  The first 6 matches will begin at 9:00 a.m., and the second 6 matches will begin following at approximately 10:30 a.m.

  Consideration will be given to members registering for play requesting specific playing partners and /or members registering for play requesting either 1st round or 2nd round playing times due to time constraints. NO guarantees however. this a competitive event and the Captain for the day will pick the best team possible based on their assessment and any gathered input.

  
  

  There will be a lunch BBQ following the matches and non-playing RTC members are welcome to be spectators and attend the BBQ.  All playing members and spectator attendees are requested to bring a side dish to share.

  This tournament is unique in that participants are only required to be Rossmoor residents; they are not required to be members of RTC. Also, Wild Card is played on the first Saturday of every month except November thru January, and then June.

  Format

  This fun format has up to 12 men and 12 women who play 4 rounds of mixed doubles and 3 rounds of same gender doubles.  Each round is 4 games with players, so everyone gets to serve.  Partners and opponents rotate in every round so there is a constantly changing mix of players.
