RTC Tennis at Rossmoor

Rossmoor tennis courts are owned and maintained by the Golden Rain Foundation (GRF).    All Rossmoor residents and their guests are entitled to use the courts in accordance with rules recommended by the Rossmoor Tennis Club and approved by the GRF Board of Directors.    Rules are posted in the Tennis Shack at the Buckeye Tennis Complex.    Copies may be obtained from the Recreation Department office in Gateway.

Rossmoor residents are eligible to apply for membership in the tennis club, and as members, may participate in club tournaments and various social events scheduled throughout the year.  No new non-resident member applications are being accepted, but for now current non-resident members may still renew membership at a higher rate.

2024 Annual dues, paid by January 1st, are just $30.00 per person. Non-Rossmoor resident current members pay $50.00 per person.    An optional fee of $35 per year allows use of the ball machine located on Court 2 at the Buckeye tennis Complex .    The club's funds are used to partially defray certain expenses in connection with the maintenance of the courts, as well as other costs related to the club-sponsored tournaments and social events.

The Rossmoor Tennis Club annual Directory has been mailed to the membership in late January.   Effective commencing January 2024, members joining the Club after January 1 will be included in the Members List on the Club's website and the associated phone app.   Effective commencing January 2025, the hard copy annual Directory is no longer published since all membership and event information is available on the Club's website and the associated phone app.

The business and social affairs of the club are conducted by the Board of Directors, consisting of nine members, three of whom are elected every year for a term of three years.    Board Members are limited to two successive terms.    Officers of the club are elected by the Board.

The business and social affairs of the club are governed by our By Laws and administered by a nine-member Board and subCommittees. The Board meets once a month on the third Monday to conduct its business. In March, July, and November there are General membership meetings for all club members  Members are welcome at any Board meeting but these three General meetings give all club members an opportunity to participate in decision-making and in the election of new board members.
