RTC Tennis at Rossmoor

Rossmoor tennis courts are owned and maintained by the Golden Rain Foundation (GRF).    All Rossmoor residents and their guests are entitled to use the courts in accordance with rules recommended by the Rossmoor Tennis Club and approved by the GRF Board of Directors.    Rules are posted in the Tennis Shack at the Buckeye Tennis Complex.    Copies may be obtained from the Recreation Department office in Gateway.

Rossmoor residents are eligible to apply for membership in the tennis club, and as members, may participate in club tournaments and various social events scheduled throughout the year.  No new non-resident member applications are being accepted, but for now current non-resident members may still renew membership at a higher rate.

Annual dues, paid by January 1st, are just $25.00 per person. Non-Rossmoor resident current members pay $50.00 per person.    An optional fee of $25 per year allows use of the ball machine located on Court 2 at the Buckeye tennis Complex .    The club's funds are used to partially defray certain expenses in connection with the maintenance of the courts, as well as other costs related to the club-sponsored tournaments and social events.

The Rossmoor Tennis Club annual Directory is mailed to the membership in late January.   Members joining the Club after January 1 will be included in New Members List updates issued periodically during the year.    Updates are posted at Buckeye and Creekside Courts and sent to Members via email.    The Directory and updates are available by email as PDF files.

The business and social affairs of the club are conducted by the Board of Directors, consisting of nine members, three of whom are elected every year for a term of three years.    Board Members are limited to two successive terms.    Officers of the club are elected by the Board.

The Board meets once a month on the third Monday.    An annual meeting is held in November, two general meetings are held for all club members each year.   These meetings will give all club members an opportunity to participate in the decision-making process pertaining to the club's activities and in the election of their Board of Directors.

The election of new Board Members for the coming year is held at the Annual Meeting in November.    Nominations are made by a Nomination Committee appointed by the President, as well as from the floor.
