RTC Board Meeting
Dec 21, 2015 --- Meeting Minutes:

Present / Absent:

• Present --- Randy Kuhl, Mark Patterson, Loc Barnes, Rolf Kvalvik, Larry Fredricks, Barbara Phillips, Barbara Schwartz, Ron Wyman, and Susanne Eldridge.
• Absent --- Bill Sederowitz

President - Randy Kuhl

• Randy Kuhl called the meeting to order at 1:30 PM in the Ivy Room at the Stanley Dollar Clubhouse.

Vice President/Trophies - Randy Kuhl

• The 2015 Service Awards were awarded to Lil Kuhl and Dave Kern.

RTC Information Technology Committee --- Randy Kuhl / Les Hoskyns

• The project to implement new photo processing technology to the website and to add about 600 photos to the website still has some work to be done.   A test version of several years worth of history photos is available for review by the project team.
• Some club members who use only smartphones or tablets cannot retrieve forms from the website so we will have copies at the kiosk at Buckeye Center.
• Concerns regarding phone numbers, e-mail address etc showing on forms on the web were discussed.   The policy of severely limiting this information on the website is in place to protect the privacy of RTC club members.   This policy has had very few case-by-case exceptions, each with the express permission from those individual/s affected.

Court Engineer/Supplies --- Bill Sederowitz

• Wind screens for courts 7 and 8 are needed.   Costs for these may run into $1000.00 or and we will contact GRF to see if they can share the cost and help install the screens.   Rolf Kvalvik said he would do more inquiries re the cost.
• Extension cords are needed at Buckeye for the leaf blower.
• Song has again repaired our old ball machine.   Manufacturer sent parts at no cost.
• A new ball machine is still on the agenda.

 Tournaments- Rolf Kvalvik

• Rolf advised that he has directors for all 2016 tournaments.

Wild Card - Barbara Phillips

• The September Wild Card tournament will be part of the Rossmoor Games.

Secretary Report - Susanne Eldridge

• No report.

Treasurer - Barbara Schwartz

• Checking account balance as of 12/21/15 is $8,724.91.  The Holiday Party broke even.
• The Board voted to donate $100.00 each to the Rossmoor Fund and Hospice.
• Should we comp party chairpersons? A vote will be done in January.

Publicity - Ron Wyman

• Ron presented specific guidelines for reporting Tennis Tournaments results and photos.   The Rossmoor News staff is getting picky.
• A copy of the guidelines will be forwarded to tournament Directors and Tennis Team Captains.

Social  - Loc Barnes

• Loc reported that the Holiday Party was a huge success.
• We have volunteers for next years Holiday Party, but are still looking for a chairperson for the Spring Fling Party.
• We are also looking for a volunteer for the Sunshine position.

Membership and Reservations - Larry Fredricks

• Larry has assumed the membership chairperson position and advised that 86 members had renewed their membership as of December 21, 2015.
• The deadline for renewing and being published in the 2016 RTC Directory has been extended from December 15, 2015 to the end of January 2016.

Maintenance - Jerry McConnell

• No report

Sunshine - Nancy McConnell

• No report.

New Business

• No new business.

Meeting was adjourned at 2:55 PM.
