December 2025 Board Meeting

President -  Emily Van Vleet 

• Call to Order
• Roll call  All present except Laura Townsend, Mary Benin, and Richard Schulman
• Welcome guests- new 2026 Board members Roger Emanuel,  Shrey Trivedi, and Bert Sebelia,

Vice President - Mary Benin

Secretary - Barbara Landberg 

• November Minutes  were approved

Treasurer - Bart Ostro

• Financial update--We have $17,400 in the bank but it does not include expenses from the Holiday Party

Tournaments - Richard Schulman

• We discussed starting Jan and Feb Wild Card Tournaments at 1:00 PM due to cold weather

Social - Laura Townsend

• Holiday Party update  --We have 105 attendees signed up and there will be 14 round tables of 8

Membership - Lori Davis

• Membership update--We have 216 members , 31 have paid for tennis plus ball machine, and we have 90 ball machine members

Facilities - David Hickey

• Wind sock added to court 4
• there was some discussion about adding a web cam on the courts to check if they are wet
• DO NOT USE BALL MACHINE IF THERE IS ANY MOISTURE ON COURT 2

Publicity - Linda Hague

• A Compilation of year long activiities is being submitted to Rossmoor News and social events and Wild Card Tournaments will be added

Information Technology - Chris Slee

• Schedule training on website for new members

• Bart will send out a doodle for people to respond about availability

Old Business

• Approval of 2025 charitable donation Of $250. to White Pony to help with food insecurity in Contra Costa

Future Business

• 2026 Tournaments schedule and 2026 Social calendar to be developed and presented at upcoming 2026 Board meetings
• 2026 Budget for RTC to be developed and presented at upcoming 2026 Board meetings
• Change board meeting to Tuesday so that it does not interfere with SMIL practice.

Next Meeting:  Janurary 19TH OR 20th? if we can secure a room.
