Board Meeting Minutes --- March 21, 2016

Opening Remarks - Randy Kuhl

• We recognized and welcomed Shari Moss as a new member.
• Minutes from last month's meeting were approved.

RTC Information Technology Committee - Randy Kuhl

• Randy reported that approximately 600 photographs have been added to the "History w/ Photographs" page on the RTC website.   We're working on getting better caption information for many of these photographs.
• We plan to incorporate more information about the RTC men's and women's league activity on the website later this year.
• Just another reminder.....   we are keeping personal contact information (phone numbers, addresses, and email addresses) off of the website.   There are only a few specific exceptions to this privacy convention.

Court Engineer / Supplies - Rolf Kvalvik

• We all thanked Dave Sperry for replacing shelving in kitchen area at Buckeye.
• The wind screens continue to be a bit of a problem.
• A supply of good balls are now in the ball machine.

Tournaments - Bernie Wolf

• Sign up sheets for The Villages Tournament (here) will go up at kiosk on March 30th.
• An enhanced New Members Tournament on April 23, 2016 was discussed in some detail.   Last year's New Members Tournament was rained out, so we're planning to "Swing into Spring" with this year's tournament.

Wild Card - Barbara Phillips

• The next Wild Card event will be on April 2, 2016

Secretary - Les Hoskyns

Treasurer - Barbara Schwartz

Vice President / Trophies - Ron Wyman

Publicity - Ron Wyman

Social - Loc Barnes (Carol Pillsbury attended for Loc)

• The upcoming RTC Kentucky Derby Party was discussed.
• Funding for the event was discussed.   We'll use (unused) Valentines Party budgeted funds.
• The event will cocktail-party format.
• We'll have betting on the race.

Membership - Larry Fredricks

• Larry reported we're at 230 2016 members

Maintenance - Jerry McConnell

Old Business

• Ball machine priority times were discussed.   Will be put into general rules, including court sign-up rules.
