  • Do we want a Wildcard in February? The Board suggested having the first Wild Card in March
  • Tentative date of 4/18 for the Villages coming to Rossmoor
  • I will be putting together the Wild Card schedule for the rest of year asap.
  • NEW WAYS TO MARKET RTC -- one way is to partner with other organizations.  There are so many things we could do.  How about putting a small team together to do this?

Old Business

New Business

  • Discusss Possible New Meeting time for Board Meetings
  • Discuss ways to lobby the RWC Finance Committee on January 27--have more members present and on zoom and hold up signs to designate tennis supporters,
  • Finalize sentences for new RWC MyRossmoor Tennis Page (Mary received input from Shrey and others and she will handle this.
  • Decide on responsibility for maintaining and organizing supplies in the BBQ areas for the sociial events and tournaments--(Shrey will oversee this once a month or a quarter)
  • Brainstorm ways to improve tournaments-
  • Wildcard could be laddered event with ladder for men on 3 courts and ladder for women on 3 courts and then have playoff beween top men and women and split the teams for mixed doubles playoff.
  • Brainstorm ideas for new social events or changes to existing events--Shrey suggested "Crab Feed to Curry"
  • Possible Friday night gatherings for cocktails
  • Brainstorm ideas regarding communication with members and non-members--
  • post signs in different places about tournaments and clinics, put flyer in display case at Gateway,  articles in Rossmoor News
  • Need to send message to entire club before the next general meeting about the availability of help to download or use the Wild Apricot website. Richard, is this something you could do?
  • Brainstorm ideas for improving facilities
  • Hang nets near walls to keep balls from bouncing back onto courts.
  • Get yardsticks for each court to correctly adjust net height.
  • Have RBM investigate cracks on courts 1 - 6 and see if they can be filled with epoxy to keep them from  expanding further.
  • Have members with battery powered blowers bring them to courts for cleaning. It is too cumbersome to move cords for blowers in shed to courts 3-6.
