• Call to order
• Roll call-- Everyone present except  Linda Hague 
• Al Peters and Dave Blanchard also in attendance
• Approval of August 19, 2024 Board meeting minutes

Vice President - Mary Benin

• No report

Secretary - Barbara Landberg

• No report

Treasurer - Ken Steiner

• Monthly report as of 9/14/2024
• $12,394 in the bank and 7 outstanding checks

Tournaments - Richard Schulman

• In future Wild Cards we will try 6 rounds instead of 7
• In November there will be a Women's Doubles Tournament and people will sign up as teams
• It was suggested that we get Rossmoor T Shirts,  lighter weight hats, and have small prizes for tournament winners
• The Tournament Director may recruit volunteer(s)  to run tournaments 

Social - Laura Townsend

• The final BBQ will be this Saturday, Sept. 21st. and Lenny Cook has offered to grill. 
• Volunteers are needed for the Holiday Party on Monday, Dec. 16th.
• Laura will ask Maria's crew to help serve and clean up
• Laura will check if Englund might be available to cater

Membership - Terry Quinlan

• 214 total membership
• 84 Ball Machine
• 26 new members since 1/1
• New Member Party on 10/17 at Stanley Dollar from 5 - 7 PM
• Board members and spouses are invited
• Membership Renewal for 2025 --work with Richard

Facilities - David Hickey

• 1400 players this month
• Small water puddle on court three
• Court 3 needs new strips on the net
• all waste baskets attached to the trays are to be replaced
• Please dispose of old balls that would not be good in the ball machine

Publicity - Linda Hague

• we have received very positive comments about the Tennis Newsletter
• It was suggested that we ask Eugenio to write a "Tip of the Month"

Information Technology - Chris Slee

Old Business

• Appointment of Al Peters, Larry Barclay, Rena Benz, and Yvonne Merrick for Nominating Committee for 2025 Board positions
• Approval of change in Bylaws to conform with GRF's Rules, Policies, and Procedures
• Review/Update of Board Members Duties language on website

New Business

• Update on status of RTC in 2025 Annual Reservation Process 
• Consideration of  2024 service awards nominations
• Send recommendations of 1 man and 1 female to Emily (current Board Members are not eligible for service awards based on this year's current Board position but current Board members are eligible based on any prior year(s) service)
