1st BBQ (ish) of the season! The French (onion soup) Open

It’s time to kick off the summer BBQ series... or at least it was supposed to be.

Unfortunately, the BBQ has decided to act up, and more importantly, our legendary grill master Lenny is currently sidelined with an injury. After the countless volunteer hours Lenny has put in over the years, the grill just doesn't feel right without him. So, we are doing something different. 

We’re starting the summer evening series with a spread of Pizza and Salad on Saturday, May 23, at the Buckeye Tennis Complex. This event will be club sponsored. The event is free for members and their guests. Please be sure to select the number of guests from the drop-down menu.  

The "French (onion soup) Open"

Since the other French Open starts that weekend, why should we let them have all the glory? We have the real pro talent right here in Rossmoor. Aside from the pizza, we also plan to play some social games starting at 5 pm. If you want to hit the court, indicate your interest during registration, or reply to this email, and please arrive by 4:50 PM. You can also reply to this email Food and drinks will follow at 6:00 PM. 

In this prestigious (ish) "tournament", everyone is a winner. Forget the silver plates; the grand trophy for every participant is a bowl of French Onion Soup.

How to Enter: Register as usual, but if you are ready to play in the prestigious French (onion soup) Open, please indicate your interest during registration. 

Please note: You do not need to play in the French (onion soup) Open to participate in this event.
