RTC General Meeting
November 21, 2016 --- Meeting Minutes

President - Randy Kuhl

  • On a motion by Ron Wyman and seconded by Bernie Wolf, the minutes of the last General Meeting were approved as submitted.
  • On a unanimous vote, the four candidates presented by the Selection Committee for 3-year terms as officers of the club were approved. The candidates and new officers are Bob McGowan, Carol Pillsbury, Joan Warner and Barbara Schwartz. The Board will determine specific positions and will designate one candidate for a 2-year term in keeping with 3 candidates being elected each year.
  • On a motion by Ron Wyman and approved by the membership, it was determined that the Ball Machine will be available for use on weekends from 9:00 am forward., providing other courts are available for play.
  • Updated RTC By Laws on now on the RTC website.

Vice President - Ron Wyman

  • No report.

Secretary - Les Hoskyns

  • No report.

Treasurer - Barbara Schwartz

  • Barbara Schwartz reported the Club should be in good shape financially for 2017.

Tournaments - Bernie Wolf

  • Bernie Wolf needs volunteers to run the Wild Card tournaments. January and February are covered.
  • Trilogy here (May 13th) and Mixed Doubles (October 21st) volunteers needed
  • The Calcutta Tournament will be reinstated this year, September 15, 16, and 17. Fred Barnes will chair the event.

Social - Loc Barnes

  • Holiday Party will be December 17, 2016.

Membership - Larry Fredricks

  • Larry Fredricks encouraged members to pay their dues by December 15, 2016 to be included in the 2017 RTC Tennis Directory.

Publicity - Ron Wyman

  • Ron Wyman asked that when sending pictures to him for publication they be sent in the highest resolution possible.   “Actual size” on smart phones is the best resolution.

Facilities - Rolf Kvalvik

  •  All clocks have been reset and are operating.

Wild Card Committee - Barbara Phillips

  • Barbara Phillips announced that the final tournament of the year was held.   Rena Benz, Dee Dunne, and Becky Reiss won for the women and Chris Eddy, Randy Kuhl,  and Rob Ingalls won for the men.

Information Technology Committee - Randy Kuhl

  • No Report.

New Business

  • The newly revised by-laws call for a nine-member board with each member accepting a specific working responsibility.   Immediately following the public meeting, members of the newly elected board met to assign themselves working responsibilities as follows:
