Rossmoor Tennis Club Wild Card on September 26
Wild Card Tournament
The first of two Rossmoor Tennis Club events on September 26 was a Wild Card tournament; the second, Oktoberfest, is reported separately. It was a beautiful fall morning, and the players were ready for action. Director Richard Schulman organized the fun and competitive event for 24 participants. The tournament featured six rounds of doubles, with each match consisting of four games. Players were paired at random for each round, giving them an opportunity to play with a variety of partners and opponents. Players kept up their energy between matches with pastries, fruit, and coffee. When the final matches were completed, the players appeared quite satisfied with a morning of friendly competition and tennis. See the photo caption for tournament results.
